Click'n Go is a special patented closure only available from Bucas. Easy for a human to close and open but difficult for your horse to open!
Dermo Care
Silky Dermo-care lining with wicking properties helps to dry the horse's coat after washing or exercise keeping the coat smooth and soft.
Fillet String
Fillet string prevents our rug from flipping up your horses back while they relax in their field. It also helps to secure your rug on our horse.
Layering system
Layer system means that this rug can be used with other Bucas rugs as to double up the insulation with the combination of the rugs together.
Shoulder Darts
Shoulder Darts helps to give your horse a more tailored fit across the chest and shoulder area. These are a signature design feature from Bucas.
Snap Lock
Snap-lock magnetic closure help keep you Bucas rug secure on your horse. It eliminates the use of Hook & Loop closures on the chest making it a more comfortable fit for your horse.

The Bucas Therapy Turnout combines the superb durability and comfort of Bucas Ballistic Nylon Turnouts with the therapeutic properties of the Bucas Therapy fabric.
The Therapy material is made from an extremely fine, stainless steel mesh so it reflects the magnetic fields created inside the body. This in turn stimulates blood circulation and oxygen flow in the horse’s body and back, which heals and reduces both swelling and inflammation and promotes faster healing. It can be left on your horse for 24 hours, 7 days a week if necessary as it is NOT a magnetic rug, but it is advised to slowly increase and monitor the use of the Bucas Therapy rug when first used.
These therapeutic rugs are the ideal choice for helping horses including those with back problems or who are a little slow to warm up when riding. It also has been known to accelerate the recovery process of some aliments, and all of this in a natural environment. The Therapy properties cannot be washed out.
The silky Dermo-care lining wicks away moisture and keeps the inside of the rug and the horse dry. This rug comes with the patented Click’n Go front with magnetic Snap-lock closure.
The optional Bucas Therapy Turnout Neck offers additional protection as well as the therapeutic properties of the Therapy Turnouts.

To provide your horse with the optimal fit, comfort and protection that it deserves, it is important to select the most appropriate rug for your horse.
When choosing a Bucas Rug, you must consider two factors
- The measurement of the horse in relation to the size of rug that it needs
- The temperature range for which the rug you choose is most suited
The following instructions outline a step-by-step approach to measuring your horse for a Bucas rug to provide an optimal fit, comfort and ease of movement.
Bucas recommends that the horse be measured from (A) the centre point of the chest, over the high point of the shoulder, and then to (B) the rear of the hind leg. When you have the measurement, choose the nearest size from the table below, or email: admin@bucas.com and we can post a Bucas measure tape to you.
*Please note that it is the measurement of the horse that determines the size.
Bucas products may be machine washed at a maximum temperature of: 30ºC / warm wash (86ºF), gentle cycle. Do not use fabric softener. Air Dry only and do not tumble dry. Use only Bucas Rug Wash for products with waterproof fabric. Household detergents may damage or destroy the waterproof coating. Do not dry clean.
Waterproof & Breathable Fabric
Bucas Turnout rugs are made with waterproof and breathable fabric. In order to retain the waterproof and breathable properties of this fabric, it is essential that the washing instructions be adhered to. Please note that water may find its way inside the rug from around the edges and stitching. In most conditions this will be very limited but during heavy rainfall a considerable amount of water may run down the neck and inside the rug.
Water Repellency
Bucas waterproof and breathable fabrics have an additional water repellent outer finish, which protects the fabric and stops the outer fabric from absorbing water. This outer finish is subject to considerable weathering and wear and is also affected by washing. To restore the water-repellent property of the fabric, apply Bucas Rug Conditioner.
General Rug Care & Use
For best performance ensure that the rug is the right size for your horse. When not in use store rugs in a dry place with good ventilation.
